Confirmation Instruction
Confirmation instruction for all
7th and 8th grade students will resume in September.
Weekly classes taught by Lysa Buchan (7th grade) and Pastor Mike (8th grade) will be held Wednesday evenings from 7:00-8:15 p.m. We will be using the Here We Stand curriculum developed by Augsburg Fortress Publishers this year which will include a student handbook and a Lutheran study Bible given to each student.
An informational meeting for confirmation students and their parents will be held on Wednesday, September 15, 7:00 p.m. Information about the curriculum, nightly schedule, student requirements, service projects, acolyte duties, Confirmation Sunday, etc. will be discussed.
We are anticipating approximately 17 eighth-grade students and 8 seventh-grade students for confirmation instruction this year. If you are at all uncertain as to whether or not your 7th or 8th grade child is or is not on our list of potential students please contact the church office.
